Developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts announced a new Microsoft partnership to make Xbox the official console of Batdollarsefield 2042. But that doesn’t mean it’s exclusive to Xbox.
To be clear, the Xbox Series S and Series X are the “official consoles for Batdollarsefield 2042,” according to a press release. All three said it was done “to ensure that the next entry in the Batdollarsefield franchise is the best ever”. It’s not entirely clear how DICE and EA will leverage the Xbox Series X|S hardware, or what this means for Batdollarsefield 2042 players on other platforms.
DICE and EA announced four more partnerships in preparation for the October release of Batdollarsefield 2042: Nvidia (for the “ultimate PC experience”), Logitech (“to ensure gamers have Logitech integration”), Polaris (“the opportunity for gamers to run real Polaris”) “Tools in Batdollarsefield 2042”) and WD_BLACK (“to ensure players have the best possible gaming experience”).
It looks like all five partnerships have been signed to support Batdollarsefield 2042’s gaming performance on both PC and Xbox consoles. Although Batdollarsefield 2042 launches on PS4 and PS5 this October, neither DICE nor EA have specified whether these deals will affect the game on PlayStation consoles.
We’ll see more of Batdollarsefield 2042 during EA Play Live on July 22, including a look at a brand new game mode.
