Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 22000. 346 (KB5007262) on Beta and Release Preview Channels for Windows Insider users. This Windows 11 update has a long list of fixes and improvements that are expected to roll out to general Windows 11 users next month.

The company has also released Cumulative Update Build 22499. 1010 (KB5008400) for those in the Dev (Development) channel of the Windows Insider Program. But Build 22499. 1010 does not bring any new fixes and is only meant to test the service pipeline for builds in the Dev Channel.

Build 22000. 346 (KB5007262) Enhancements

  • Fixed a known issue that caused error codes 0x000006e4, 0x0000007c, or 0x00000709 when connecting to a shared remote printer on a Windows print server.
  • Addressed an issue that caused certain USB Print installers to report that they did not detect the printer after you plug it in.
  • Resolved an issue affecting USB Printing devices that support Internet Printing Protocol over USB (IPP). This issue is preventing these USB Printing devices from completing the installation.
  • Fixed an issue that caused operating system functionality to be incorrectly redirected when Microsoft Edge links were called.
  • audiodg in windows sound system. Fixed an issue that could cause the exe process to stop working and cause a temporary loss of sound.
  • SearchFilterHost. Fixed an issue affecting the opening of the exe process.
  • Added a message stating that an organization policy manages the user’s location privacy settings. This message appears when privacy settings are controlled by Group Policy documented in Manage connections from Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating system components to Microsoft services.
  • Resolved an issue that caused Windows Defender Application Control to incorrectly compare two file version numbers.
  • Fixed an issue where the notification area displayed the wrong background for the iFLY Basidols-matched Chinese IME icon.
  • Resolved reliability issues that prevented File Explorer and desktop shortcut menus from being displayed. This issue usually occurred when you made a single click to open an item.
  • Added an option to choose whether to automatically turn on Focus Assist for the first hour after windows feature update.
  • Animation performance of icons in the taskbar has been improved.
  • Fixed a reliability issue affecting the rendering of network status text on the lock screen.
  • Fixed volume control issues affecting Bluetooth audio devices.
  • Resolved a bug that caused File Explorer to stop working after closing a File Explorer window.
  • Fixed an issue that displayed incorrect subtitle shadows for some videos.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Windows Update History page in the Settings app to display a zero (0) update summary count per category when there were updates listed.
  • Resolved an issue when running a 32-bit application on a 64-bit version of Windows 11. When you call NetServerEnum() it may give error 87 or error 1231.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing your device from starting and causing it to become unresponsive due to licensing API calls.
  • Resolved an issue in the Windows Network File System (NFS) client that could prevent you from renaming a file after mounting an NFS share.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented flash drives such as SD cardollarsar and certain USB drives from appearing in the Defragment and Optimize Drives interface.
  • volmgr. Fixed a bug that could cause a stop error in sys.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Windows Mixed Reality to start when you plug in a headset.
  • Addressed an issue with audio degradation affecting Xbox One and Xbox Series Audio peripherals when you use them with spatial audio.
  • Resolved a bug that caused the AltGr switch to stop working if the remote desktop client is running or the RemoteApp connection is lost.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the edit button and battery icon in Quick Settings to disappear intermittently.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the Focus Assist button in the notification area and added an accessible name for screen readers.
  • Updated various aspects of Windows emoji: All emojis in the Segoe UI Emoji font have been updated to the Fluent 2D emoji style, Emoji 13.1 support has been included, and the emoji dictionary has been updated.
  • Updated Emoji and more panels so you can enter emojis in your apps.
  • Fixed an issue that affected the display of the number of unread notifications.
  • Resolved an issue affecting the Start menu when you install a large number of applications and change the screen resolution. App names appeared in the Start menu, but app icons were missing. This update also improves the reliability of the Start menu when you use secondary monitors in mixed resolution scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue that caused flickering when hovering over icons in the taskbar. This problem was occurring when high counterdollar frequency contact was applied.
  • Updated the Start menu’s Ease of Access folder name to “Accessibility” to conform to the naming standard in Windows 11 (original version).
  • Resolved an issue affecting Microsoft Narrator users when they selected Braille options in Settings.
  • As in previous versions of Windows, the screen color changed to blue when a device stopped working or when a stop error occurred.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some app icons in the Start’s All apps list to be cut off from the bottom after changing the screen resolution.
  • Addressed an issue that prevented the keyboard focus rectangle from appearing when you use Task View, Alt-Tab, or Snap Assist under certain conditions.
  • Resolved an issue affecting applications that provide context (shortcut) menu items in File Explorer and desktop context menus. This issue occurs if these applications use Directory or DirectoryBackground records.
  • Resolved an issue affecting NTFS when you enable update sequence number (USN) logging. NTFS could perform unnecessary actions whenever it performed a write operation which affected I/O performance.
  • Microsoft Edge: Enabled “onload” events to create popups in Internet Explorer mode.
  • Improved Microsoft Defender’s ability to detect and block ransomware and advanced attacks for Endpoint.
  • Fixed an issue that caused devices with certain processors to become unresponsive when resuming from hibernation.
  • Fixed an issue that incorrectly rendered some variable fonts.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the Appx PowerShell cmdlet functionality in PowerShell 7.1 and later.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some users to see an unexpected “bad image” error message dialog on startup.
  • Searchindexer in remote desktop environment. Fixed an issue where the exe became unresponsive.
  • wslapi. Addressed a COM initialization issue that could cause the invocation to stop in the dll.
  • Fixed an issue on the Hyper-V virtual machine bus (VMBus) that caused the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) VM to time out when adding disks. This issue was also preventing the utility from starting.
  • Fixed an issue that affected the System Memory Management Unit (SMMU) error handling after hibernation.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the system to stop working after enabling Hyper-V.
  • Fixed an issue where devices in a domain with certain processors do not automatically apply machine Group Policy objects on startup or in the background.
  • Added an Internet Protocol (IPv4) maximum transmission unit (MTU) configuration option of less than 576 bytes on an interface. ,
  • Fixed an issue that caused get-winevent to fail: InvalidOperationException.
  • Fixed an issue that displayed glyphs at the wrong angle when using the Meiryo UI font and other vertical fonts.
  • Added a feature to facilitate certain cross-browser data transfers.
  • Addressed an issue when opening a dialog in Internet Explorer.
  • Fixed an issue in CLSID_InternetExplorer.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Internet Explorer to stop working when you copy and paste text while using the Input Method Editor (IME).
  • Fixed an issue that caused some applications to stop responding to input. This issue was occurring on touch devices.
  • Fixed a touch keyboard deployment issue affecting WebView2 controls in Windows UI Library 3.0 (WinUI 3) applications.
  • ctfmon that occurs when you switch between different editing clients. Memory leak in exe fixed.
  • Updated Windows Activation phone number for locales with wrong phone number.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented Software Defined Network (SDN) virtual machines from running when you configured the Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) VPN bandwidth limitation.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the GetCommandLineA() return value to be lowercase in some developer scenarios.
  • Resolved a Primary Refresh Token (PRT) update issue that occurred when VPN users signed in using Windows Hello for Business while the VPN connection was offline.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the Fast Identity Online 2.0 (FIDO2) credential provider, preventing the PIN entry box from being displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where closing the keyboard while expanding the Suggestion UI would display an empty space below the Touch keyboard.
  • Fixed an issue that automatically removed the Serbian (Latin) Windows display language from a device.
