Vivo has launched its new smartwatch, Vivo Watch 2, along with the S12 and S12 Pro smartphones. The smartwatch has the distinction of being the successor to the Vivo Watch smartwatch released in September 2020. Vivo Watch 2 has significant upgrades over the previous model. The smartwatch includes an OLED display, 5ATM water resistance, e-SIM support, emergency notification feature and more. Also, unlike its predecessor, the Watch 2 is only available in one size, 46mm.
The new smartwatch comes with a 1.43-inch OLED display that offers a 60Hz refresh rate. The OLED display sits above a 46mm circular dial. The smart watch is presented to users with a frameless design. There are two physical buttons on the right side of the watch. The smart watch is also equipped with a 316L stainless steel body. The company also allows consumers to replace the watch’s silicone straps.
The smartwatch has an SOS emergency mode that sends an alert to the fire brigade, police or hospital even if it is not paired with any smartphone. Vivo Watch 2 offers battery capacity that lasts up to 14 days with e-SIM turned off and up to 7 days with e-SIM turned on. The e-SIM feature in the smart watch stands out as a feature that allows users to send and receive SMS and calls without connecting their smartphones. The smartwatch will also come with 2GB of internal storage for storing music.
Vivo Watch 2 will have 47 sports modes including running, swimming, walking, cycling and more. The smartwatch also has a built-in GPS for outdoor activities. The watch also houses SpO2, heart rate, stress meter and sleep tracking sensors. Finally, let’s also mention that the smart watch has features such as smart calendar, smart travel service, Jovi voice assistant and smart home control.
