In the USA, which is one of the countries where the epidemic hit deeply, it was announced that those who had coronavirus vaccines could come together without a mask.
The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that US citizens who have 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccines will be safe without wearing a mask, and they can be found in public environments without masks, provided that they comply with social distance rules.
The person with the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be deemed to be fully protected against COVID-19 after 2 weeks.
“There may be no harm in those who have their vaccinations”
It was stated that adults who have had their vaccinations will not be inconvenienced to meet healthy children and grandchildren with low disease risk under the same roof.
CDC Director Dr. “We’re starting to turn a corner with more and more people vaccinated every day,” said Rochelle Walensky.
Stating that this is a “first step” towards returning to the normal of people coming together, Walensky said that the softening of the rules will increase with a further decrease in cases and deaths.
Normalization steps in the USA
About 31 million Americans have been vaccinated so far, according to CDC data.
On the other hand, Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon said he would remove the requirement for masks throughout the state and allow restaurants, bars, theaters and gyms to continue their normal operations starting March 16.
Gordon cited the decision to lift the bans, declining active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, as well as ongoing vaccination studies in the state.
