Dogecoin returns to top 5 before Elon Musk’s “SNL” debut
While Ethereum is stealing all the spotlights with its all-time high this Monday, Dogecoin (DOGE) is trying to catch up. Meme cryptocurrency CoinMarketCap has returned to the top 5 and is currently trading at over $ 0.41 on the Bitstamp exchange. The joke money is only 8.5 percent away from beating the all-time high of $ 0.45 recorded on April 16th.
Although it sounds ridiculous, Elon Musk’s “Saturday Night Live” announcement seems to be the main wind for Dogecoin lately. In this post, Elon Musk nicknamed himself “The Dogefather”, referring to the Satırday Night Live program he will attend. In short, Elon Musk confirmed that Dogecoin will be part of SNL. However, it is not yet clear whether the altcoin project will lose padols on May 8.
