Microsoft, next week a new Surface Pro 8 is preparing to launch its model. A recent leak seems to have revealed exactly what we should expect from the device. Twitter account Shadow_Leak posted a photo of the Surface Pro 8 from a retail listing. The account claims that the Surface Pro 8 will come with a new 13-inch 120Hz display with narrow bezels and two Thunderbolt ports.
Microsoft’s September 22 event could include one of the biggest Surface Pro updates in years. The Verge reports that the Windows 11 machine will look like a powered, Intel-powered counterpart of the Surface Pro X with a 13-inch narrow-bezel 120Hz display. Also, dual Thunderbolt ports can be more helpful for content creators. That means finally enough room for an external GPU, among other very high-speed peripherals. The leaked Surface Pro 8 will also make the expected leap with the 11th generation Core processor. You can still replace the SSD if the included storage, like the Surface Laptop 4, breaks down or is too limiting.
Upcoming event, possible Surface Book, Surface Go and Surface Pro X upgrades, along with a Surface Duo 2, could be one of Microsoft’s most packed presentations to date. The Pro has been one of Microsoft’s most durable Surface devices, but also one of its most conservative with relatively few changes. The 2019 revision still had a USB-A port. The 8 could revive the Pro lineup and even help it compete with a newer wave of detachables and 2-in-1 laptops.
