Tesla CEO Elon Musk denied that Jared Birchall, head of the family office, is on the advisory board of the re-established Dogecoin foundation.
In a recent tweet, Musk writes that neither he, Birchall nor any of his associates are on the board.

The statement caused a lot of confusion within the meme coin community as it implied that the foundation lied about Musk being affiliated with his team.
Renewed, Birchall announced that it is relaunching its operations with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and DOGE co-founder Billy Markus joining its advisory board. The addition of Musk’s right-hand man to the board initially did not arouse any suspicion and was well received by the community. Recently predicted to be the first DOGE trillionaire, Musk is known as one of the most vocal supporters of the meme coin.
Meanwhile, the composition of the board remains the same, according to the institution’s official website.
Last month, it showed its teeth by threatening legal action against copycat Dogecoin 2.0 (DOGE2) to protect its cryptocurrency brand.
