It is possible to say that the Exynos 2100 model has made a big leap not only in terms of performance but also in terms of efficiency. The company will also start integrating AMD Radeon GPUs into its chips, starting with the Exynos 2200, which is planned to be released in the Galaxy S22 series. On the other hand, Samsung is preparing to launch a new Exynos chipset for entry-level Galaxy phones as well.

Samsung will soon launch the Exynos 1280 mobile chipset, according to new information cited by a well-known forecaster, IceUniverse. IceUniverse stated in a tweet that the features of the new chipset will be lower than the Exynos 1080 model. For this reason, it would not be wrong to expect the chipset to be an entry-level chipset specific to affordable smartphones and tabledollars. However, at this point, it is worth noting that we do not have any information about the number of cores, production process, GPU or other information yet. However, there is also the possibility that the Exynos 1280 will be launched with 5G connectivity. It is possible to attribute this to the increasing popularity of 5G connectivity.

Samsung Exynos 1080

Note that unlike the smartphones released in the current year and before, most of the Galaxy phones that will be released in the future will have Exynos chipset instead of MediaTek or Qualcomm. In this way, Samsung aims to have tighter control over the supply. There are other rumors that Samsung is working on at least two high-end Exynos processors, a mid-range chipset and an entry-level Exynos chipset. The abundance of these rumors indicates that we will see more Galaxy phones with the mentioned chips.

Finally, it should be noted that there is a possibility that the Exynos 1280 chipset that Samsung is working on is not found in a Samsung phone and can be used on another model.
