Samsung has officially announced that the company’s 2022 Neo QLED panels have received “CO2 Reduction” certification from the Carbon Trust.
Samsung Electronics, one of the world’s leading TV manufacturers, has added a new certificate in line with the company’s vision of “Being Green”. Through an official announcement, the company announced that its 2022 Neo QLED TVs have received a “CO2 Reduction” certificate from the Carbon Trust in order to reduce the carbon footprint of their products.
Carbon Trust can be characterized as a global climate consultancy company with the mission of decarbonising the future of the world. The “CO2 Reduction” certificate given by the consulting company to the manufacturer company, on the other hand, shows that the carbon footprint of the product for which the certificate is given decreases year by year. The Carbon Trust uses internationally accepted standardollar yellows and assesses how much greenhouse gas is produced during the entire product lifecycle.
Samsung has three Neo QLED 8K models, three Neo QLED 4K models, two QLED models, two Lifestyle TV models, and a Crystal UHD 2022 Neo QLED models, consisting of TV models, managed to obtain the aforementioned certificate. The features of reducing weight and power consumption during use seem to have been effective in obtaining the certificate of the devices in the portfolio. Samsung also announced its vision of “Together for Tomorrow” during the launch event at CES 2022. The company continues to work to reduce its carbon footprint within the scope of the vision introduced.
Finally, it should be noted that the company will use 30 times more recycled plastic to manufacture display products as part of that vision. Let’s add that you can review the official announcement here for Samsung’s other sustainable moves.
