AMD CEO Lisa Su shared an image that we guess is of the company’s upcoming Ryzen 6000 ‘Rembrandt’ mobile processor. CTA, the name behind the CES event, has released the upcoming processors on its website along with a new Honoree award.

The new chips come with the RDNA 2 graphics architecture, which is a big step up after the Vega graphics in the Ryzen 5000 ‘Cezanne’ mobile family. The Ryzen 6000 series will also offer support for DDR5/LPDDR5 technologies.

As with all of AMD’s mobile processors, we expect chips using Rembrandt silicon to come to the desktop platform later. If we look at the award given by the organizers, it also mentions artificial intelligence voice processing support and Microsoft’s Pluton technology.

We are seeing the new security technology called Pluton on a computer for the first time. Pluton aims to protect you from firmware attacks while on the go with your laptop, while providing stronger security to prevent physical attacks and encryption key theft.

This technology was first made available on Xbox and AMD’s EPYC data center processors. Stay tuned for what’s new at the CES 2022 event.
