Ryzen 7 5800X3D, powered by 3D V-Cache technology, does not offer overclocking support, at least for now. Recently, with the BCLK overclocking method, this chip reached 4.74 GHz.
MSI team’s overclocking expert TSAIK demonstrated its overclocking skills and managed to overcome the 5 GHz barrier with the new processor. The tesdollarser certified by CPU-Z shows exactly 5.14 GHz.
Not many details were offered behind the TSAIK’s record, but the CPU-Z verification screen did provide some exciting details. For example, we see that TSAIK applies a BCLK of 113 MHz and a core voltage of 1.20V. SkatterBencher used 104 MHz BCLK and 1.294V core voltage settings.
TSAIK is more comfortable accessing the best hardware because it’s on the MSI team. MSI MEG X570 Godlike motherboard is used during overclocking to 5.14 GHz. The motherboard was also running the 1.G5T2 BIOS (AGESA 22.214.171.124 Patch C).
