MSI became the first manufacturer to achieve DDR5 RAM speeds of over 10,000Mbps using the MEG Z690 Unify-X motherboard.
The overclocking record was achieved by Kovan Yang of Taiwan, member of the MSI OC Team, as well as Extreme Overclockers of Taiwan. The overclocker used MSI’s renowned MEG Z690 Unify-X motherboard, known for its memory overclocking capabilities, and hit crazy speeds on Kingston’s Fury Beast DDR5 memory kit. The platform was running an Intel Core i9-12900KS processor that was throttled to 400MHz at 1.253V to keep the memory overclock frequency sustainable.
Kingston Fury Beast memory, which was used to break several world records in the overclocking process, has been increased to 10.04 Mbps. This means a 2.08x increase in transfer speeds compared to standard DDR5-4800 specifications.
CPU-Z authentication link, the overclocker’s effective 5.001.8 MT/s or 10.04 Mbps at 72-126-126-126-127-2 (tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS-tRC-tCR) it shows the speed. You can also see the full verification link and Hwbot submission of this important achievement.
