MSI has introduced the industry’s first curved display with mini-LED backlighting with quantum dot films and meeting VESA’s DisplayHDR 1000 requirements. The new display promises to combine high image quality with the sharp tilt and performance of a gaming-grade LCD.
MEG Artymis 341 Mini LED model is based on 34 inch AU Optronics’ AmLED (Adaptive mini LED) display technology, which consists of a Mini LED based backlight module further enhanced with QD Premium quantum dot films. The full array local dimming (FALD) backlight based on mini LEDs will provide high contrast and at the same time very high brightness, while the quantum dot enhancement will offer very high color accuracy.
The monitor with 34-inch screen size comes with 3440×1440 resolution, 1 ms GtG response time, refresh rate up to 165 Hz (native) and 800R curve. While the display will meet VESA’s DisplayHDR 1000 requirements, it will support HDR10 and at least 1000 nits peak brightness for high amic range content.
MEG Artymis 341 will be one of the flagship displays of the company, which is said to offer premium image quality along with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. Therefore, we can expect it to offer additional features such as USB hub, audio connectors, advanced OSD.
