Why is the meteor glowing green?
When a meteor enters Earth, it encounters the resistance of the atmosphere. Meteorites that start to burn in this process, if they are a magnesium-dense celestial body, emit blue and green light. In addition, meteorites with yellow and orange burning in the atmosphere are predominantly sodium, while only yellows can emit light in the colors of iron, purples in calcium, reds in nitrogen and oxygen.
