Microsoft’s new project ‘Project Zanzibar’ is based on a type of mat that recognizes and reflects touches and superimposed materials on the screen.
Microsoft has gathered its attention with the new project ‘Project Zanzibar‘ that we introduced with a video today. This project, based on projecting objects and movements onto a computer screen, is quite successful with its diversity in use. The successful project that Microsoft is working on in the research lab in the UK seems to be the use and spread of many inland and future development stages.
The mat, which provides communication between objects with near field communication (NFC), can also create multi-touches on the screen by sensing multiple touches. The project is thought to play a big role, especially for the game, and the creators of the product have started to do it exactly in the project. Project Zanzibar, which is also supported by sound and available in many different areas, shows all the capabilities of Microsoft’s video in a very simple way.
The project is still very new, how it will develop in the future and we do not yet know when it will be available as a device that we can really use. However, experts evaluating the project think that a conference company to be held next month in Montreal will present the project. Microsoft has received a lot of criticism in the past for not presenting and implementing many projects. In 2016, after these criticisms, the company started to work harder for project development. Do you think Project Zanzibar will be available in the near future? If the use was offered, what would you use the smart mat for?
