Microsoft is constantly working to make Microsoft Edge the best browser on Windows, competing with browsers like Chrome and Firefox. Google Chrome has a huge share of the market, but Edge has gotten really good lately.
Microsoft is also trying to improve the experience with new optional features. The software giant now wants to offer something to the players with a new feature called “Games panel”. Looking like an add-on in the browser, Edge’s panel comes as another way to show games in web results and is designed for those who play browser-based games.
Microsoft Edge’s game panel will not make any changes to the browser while playing games, unlike Opera GX, which is designed for performance. Instead, it will show results from MSN Games on the right side of the Microsoft Edge window.
As you can see in the screenshot above, Microsoft is adding a “Games” button to the browser’s toolbar. Click the button and a new panel similar to Collections will appear on the right side of Edge. This panel will bring up results for browser-based games from MSN Games, a casual gaming website with single player and multiplayer games like Solitaire, Mahjong Arcade, and other games.
Like the rest of the buttons, Edge’s MSN Games feature will be completely optional and disabled by default. Microsoft is still testing this feature and it is expected to arrive in stable version soon.
