Due to the spread of the Omicron variant, although multiple brands have announced that they are withdrawing from the face-to-face CES 2022 event, some companies continue to prepare for CES 2022. LG Display, for example, announced that it will showcase its new transparent OLED displays at CES 2022. Over the years we have seen brands showcase more than one type of OLED display. Flexible OLED panels, cadollarable screens are examples. LG Display showcased its transparent OLED panels at the CES 2021 event. This year, too, the company is displaying its new products created with transparent panels.
LG Display, one of the world’s largest display panel manufacturers, will showcase its products produced with transparent OLED panels at the CES 2022 event. The company offers unique use cases for these transparent OLED panels. The panel manufacturer also shows users various scenarios where the technology can be applied with certain products designed for them.
Introduced as OLED Shelf, the technology is essentially two 55-inch transparent OLED panels standing on top of each other. Also, as the name suggests, there is a shelf above the panels. This makes the display an ideal product to use in any part of the home. The two screens in the product will also have the ability to stream different content. Also, just like some modern phones, the TV features an always-on display that can show portraits and paintings continuously throughout the day. By taking advantage of the transparency of the screen, users will be able to keep any object to be viewed when the television is turned off, on the back of the television.
Another product announced by LG is the Show Window. This product attracts attention as a product that can be useful for shops and businesses trying to replace traditional windows. When the product is mounted on a wall, it can be used to replace a traditional scenario where any product in the store is displayed outside the store behind windows. Thus, stores will be able to use the new product to expand their product showcase.
