Microsoft has been working with Insiders on the Windows 10 November 2021 Update for several months. The next and final Windows 10 feature update has now moved from active development to the Release Preview channel.
We expect the new Windows 10 21H2 update to be generally available later this month. As we stated, 21H2 will be the last major update of Windows 10 and Microsoft’s support will continue. At this point, we will see more bug fixes and security updates in the coming period.
If you want to install the upcoming update, you can already upgrade your machines to Windows 10 May 2021 Update i.e. 21H1. 21H1 was released in May, after which some improvements were made for Windows 10.
When the new feature update is released, Microsoft will remove the option to download the previous version, so even if you don’t want to upgrade right away, you can at least download a copy of version 21H1. If you are on an older version, you can choose to upgrade to 21H1 via Windows Update or do a clean install using the ISO files.
