Intel has shared a new document listing the upcoming DDR5 RAMs approved on the Alder Lake platform. This is something the company hasn’t done in the past, and motherboard or memory manufacturers often share QVL lists (Qualified Vendor Lists).

One of the common features of the different series of memory sedollars on Intel’s list is that they are all dual-channel and 32GB (2x16GB) memory. In addition, although there are 16 GB (2x8GB) options, almost all memory manufacturers have started to come to the market with 32 GB memory kidollar series.

As you know, Alder Lake natively supports the DDR5-4800 standard. So the DDR5-4800 memory kidollarseries will run on the new platform without any issues.

G. Skill currently offers the fastest DDR5 memory kidollar series on the market. The manufacturer’s Trident Z5 series has RAMs reaching 6800 MHz, and the kidollarserine timings are configured as 38-38-38-7640-40-40-76. So much so that higher voltages are required for these high speeds instead of the DDR5 standard 1.1V.

The official data rate supported in Alder Lake is listed as DDR5-4800 and speeds above are considered overclocking. While the faster memory kidollar series has actually been confirmed, the processor’s IMC (integrated memory controller) will be the deciding factor.

Finally, as you know, new memory comes with XMP 3.0 technology. This technology, which allows one-click overclocking, will include many customizable and predetermined profiles. In addition, it is possible to make XMP settings without having to enter the BIOS.
