A mysterious processor running Dota 2 at 120 frames per second turned out to be the 12th generation Intel Alder Lake S. As seen in the CapFrameX database shared by the German technology site Computer Base, the mentioned hardware is named Alder Lake, but its operating frequency is 2.2 GHz. As this information is not officially verified, it is useful to approach the issue with suspicion.
According to the data obtained from CapFrameX, the Dota 2 trial was made on April 5, 2021 in the system with Intel Alder Lake S processor. Other hardware in the system is specified as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 and 32GB (4x8GB) DDR5 memory. The FPS values taken in the Dota 2 test are as follows:
- Maximum FPS: 549.15
- Average FPS: 119.98
- Minimum FPS: 46.93
- 1% FPS: 88.85
- 0%. 1 FPS: 78.75
In our previous news, we gave various information about the 12th generation Intel Alder Lake. If we need to briefly touch on the technical features of the processor, Intel is going to make a big change for this series. He turned to the LITDollarsE architecture. Featuring a 10nm SuperFin chip design, Alder Lake will be based on the principle that high-performance Golden Cove cores work together with power-saving Gracemont cores, with the support of hybrid processor technology. The chip is also known to support PCI-e 5.0 standards with DDR5. On the other hand, it is imperative to buy a new motherboard as the CPU socketollar series is renewed as LGA 1700.
Officially, it is still unclear when the Intel Alder Lake S will be released. According to estimates, we can conclude that as rumors of this type continue to spread about the processor that will be released towards the end of 2021, its output is less.
