For a while, Windows could already be installed on Raspberry Pi devices. The WoR (Windows on Raspberry) project, developed by YouTuber leepspvideo, will enable the Windows 11 operating system to be easily installed on Raspberry Pi systems.

On the other hand, a user named Botspot has released a tool called WoR-flasher that completely automates the process of downloading, preparing and installing Windows 11 via a Raspberry Pi. This tool completely eliminates the need for a Windows machine to perform the installation process.

The script installer, known as WoR-flasher, automates the download and configuration of Windows 11 for Raspberry Pi, allowing everyone to try Microsoft’s latest operating system. To do this, it requires entering three lines of code in Terminal, formatting an external drive, and then allocating 3GB of RAM so Windows 11 can access the Pi hardware.

Although this tool is designed for the Raspberry Pi 4 and 400 models, there are also options to install it on the Pi 3 and Pi 2 (v1.2, which has the same CPU as the Pi 3). It is possible to install Windows 11 on mini devices, but this is not recommended due to potential performance issues. In addition, the process is not fast and can take several hours to complete.

In this process, you can wait for Windows files to be downloaded saadollarserce in the Terminal window. A fast USB drive or external SSD may be preferred to run Windows 11. Make sure your device’s bootloader is updated to the latest version to allow booting from USB at this stage.
