According to the data announced by the Italian Ministry of Health, 13 thousand 114 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in 170 thousand 633 tests in the country in the last 24 hours. Thus, the total number of cases has reached 2 million 938 thousand 371 since the outbreak started.
The number of active patients in the country rose to 424 thousand 333 and the number of intensive care patients to 2 thousand 289.
While the number of those who lost their lives increased by 246 to 97 thousand 945, the number of those who recovered reached 2 million 416 thousand 93 with an increase of 10 thousand 894.
More than 4 million people were vaccinated
In the country where vaccination started on December 27, 2020, the number of vaccinations reached 4 million 354 thousand 8.
It was announced that 1 million 411 thousand 663 of those vaccinated were those who received the second dose.
