A survey among Steam users revealed the most common hardware in January 2018.
When you have a new gaming computer, we will investigate the market and find out which processor or display board people are using. The best way to find out is through surveys on Steam, the backbone of PC gaming. According to Valve’s new report, Steam’s most popular computer hardware has emerged. Today I will pass on the most preferred hardware units of PC players. If you want to collect this information, a new computer can be very useful.
According to Valve’s report, Nvidia is the leader of the graphics card market. Nvidia, 86.4 percent of Steam users are preferred. This figure increased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous month. While AMD ranks second only with 8.1 percent, Intel maintains third place in the list with 5.2 percent.
When we look at the Steam market, we see that most Steam users switch to DirectX 12-capable graphics cards. When we look at the most preferred graphics card, we see the GeForce GTX 1060, which holds 14.2 percent of the paste. The GTX 1060 can play almost any game with top performance at 1080p. The graphics card, which comes in two models with 3GB of RAM and 6GB of RAM, is among the most successful graphics cards in terms of price and performance.
Intel has not been happy about January. Although the company has been under heavy criticism for security risks this month, 91.9 percent of last month’s share grew by 7 percent. At this point in the market, we see Intel as the winner. In the past, the affordability of AMD led users to these processors. In recent years, AMD’s competition with Intel on price has allowed players to shift to Intel.
As of last month, the most popular memory in January 2018 was 8GB of RAM. If at least 8 GB of RAM is required for games, then this figure is expected to rise to 16 GB in the future.
71.1 percent of Steam users still use 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution monitors. The second row has a resolution of 1366 x 768p, which we usually see on 15.6-inch notebooks. The third is 3.560 per cent of the list with 2560 x 1440 (2K), while the fourth has 2 per cent with 4K resolution. In addition, 34.8% of Steam users using Full HD monitors reported using two Full HD panels.
63.7 percent of Steam users turned out to use 1TB of storage. This represents a 2.3 percent growth over last month. I do not think this survey is unnecessary because Steam did not handle HDD and SSD separately. Because the main factor in storage is not how many GB, SSD is whether or not. Especially in game computers, SSD has a great importance.
According to the result of the survey on Steam, the most popular computer is as follows:
Processor: Intel quad core processor running at 3GHz to 3.29GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
Storage Space: 1 TB +
