It has been suggested that the Google Pixel 6a smartphone may lack the Motion Mode feature of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. Motion Mode uses machine learning and multi-frame capture to create a clear subject and a motion-blurred background.

XDA-Developers reports that developer Kuba Wojciechowski has discovered codes for Motion Mode. In the codes, it is stated that the codename of Pixel 6a is “bluejay” and there is no mention of Motion Mode.

While the Pixel 6a will reportedly use the same Tensor chipset as the Pixel 6 duo, the unreleased mid-range Google smartphone is expected to use the Pixel 5a’s camera setup, including a 12.2MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. This may mean that the 12.2 MP sensor will not be compatible with this feature.

By the way, Pixel 6a is expected to be similar to Google Pixel 6. The device will be powered by the Google Tensor chipset and will have a 6.2 inch OLED display.

Google Pixel 6a is likely to be introduced in the next few weeks. The smartphone is expected to be announced at the Google I/O conference, which will likely take place on May 11-12, and launch on July 28.
