The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) provided food and blankets to 100 war-torn Turkmen families who took refuge in Herat province in western Afghanistan.
Speaking at the food distribution ceremony, TİKA Herat Coordinator Ali Ergun Çınar said that TİKA did not fall short of humanitarian aid as well as various projects and activities for Afghanistan.
Çınar stated that they provided food and blankets to 100 war victim families who took refuge in Herat from Murçak village in Badgis province.
The number of Turkmens, including widows and orphans, whose family ties have been severed due to the current war environment and insecurity in the region they live in, are trying to hold on to life under difficult conditions in abandoned houses near Herat.
