A familiar name, TCL is developing a 4K 32-inch panel with a 240Hz refresh rate that has so far been unattainable in any 4K gaming monitor. Details about this new panel are very sparse, and in fact, TCL China’s official blog post doesn’t even mention it at all.

According to ITHome, the monitor powered by this panel will come with a 1ms response time and Huaxing’s self-developed image compression algorithm. It is not specified how many bits of color the panel displays, and many other features will appear in the future.

On the other hand, with the launch of the new generation consoles, a large number of 4K 144 Hz displays equipped with HDMI 2.1 interfaces began to be produced. This monitor will likely also offer connectivity options such as HDMI 2.1 connectivity and DP 2.0.

The resulting ad calls this panel the 32″ UD 240Hz R800 “Gaming Display”. Judging by the image, this player monitor will have a curved structure. While TCL is a gaming monitor vendor, it often works with OEMs for rebranding. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will see 240 Hz and 1 ms monitors with 4K resolution under the TCL brand.
