Laptops powered by Intel Arc graphics are still hard to find at retailers. Judging by the official statement made by Intel, GPUs will become widespread in the second quarter, although they are officially released.
South Korean BullsLab has released one of the first gaming tesdollar series of Intel Arc Alchemist mobile GPUs. When the publisher reviewed the series of tesdollars, he discovered that performance was significantly limited by a technology called Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology.
Dynamic Tuning Technology is designed to distribute power between CPU and GPU depending on need. In other words, we can think of it as an alternative to AMD SmartShift and NVIDIA Dynamic Boost technologies.
Naturally, we expect such technology to provide a performance boost. However, in the tesdollarser with the A350M, DDT was disabled and a tremendous performance increase was observed. In the process, both the GPU and CPU climbed to higher frequencies.
We talked about Intel Deep Link and Dynamic Power Share technology during the launch. We don’t yet know exactly what the differences are with Dynamic Tuning Technology, but this issue will become more apparent as Arc laptops become more common.
Unfortunately, the Arc A-Series is still not available worldwide. Intel also didn’t even post a review sample in its tech publications.
