Intel Smart Sound Technology is causing its users to encounter blue screen issues due to a driver incompatibility. Systems running Windows 10 and affected by this issue will no longer be able to upgrade to Windows 11, according to a new article from Microsoft.

The faulty driver is “IntcAudioBus. sys” was stated. This device appears in Device Manager as “Intel® Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) Audio Controller”. The device in question is a digital signal processor that works with Core and Atom processors to process voice commands and play music without draining the battery.

It’s also different with Speed Select Technology, which allows other Intel SST or servers to match clock speeds to workloads. To get rid of this problem, it is necessary to update the driver to a newer version. Additionally, those who cannot find updated drivers that fix this issue can contact their device manufacturers (OEM) for more information.
