Coinbase, one of the cryptocracy stock exchanges, hired Rachael Horwitz as his first communications vice president today. Horwitz has started marketing and communication activities for Spark Capital as of today. Prior to this, Horwitz was a technology communications director at Facebook.
As an industry, the Blockchain project has an advertising problem. Advocates of the project have promised very high things to people, but after scandals and frauds, people have started not to trust the cryptocurrencies. More legitimate businesses like Coinbase are offering their customers some of the challenges they are experiencing.
Horwitz is the third female executive Coinbase hired in recent months. Tina Bhatnagar (previously worked on Twitter), the company’s vice president of operations and technology. Emilie Choi, business development vice president Horwitz (formerly working at LinkedIn), has also been involved in promoting women’s representation in the area of crypto money.
