Clubhouse has announced a new feature called Replay, where users can choose to record the voice chat and then save it to a club or profile. They can also be downloaded and shared externally in case someone wants to use them as podcasts or TikTok music.
Replay also supports fixed-links, a new feature that allows chat moderators to link to different sites during a conversation. These links will remain fully interactive for those who sign up later.
Those who watch a recorded speech will be able to skip to the next speaker, pause, play or shoot a 30-second clip. In addition, it is possible to play the recording at 1.5 or 2x speed. Meanwhile, creators will also be able to see who’s watching their replays. Again, creators will be able to have a “total number of rooms” to see how many people have roomed in total, both live and recorded. Replays will appear on Clubhouse’s exploration pages with search starting next week.
The Replay feature will be very useful for those who do not have time to catch a live audio event. As Clubhouse gets more competitive with Twitter Spaces and Facebook Live Sound Rooms, it will likely need more features to differentiate itself from the competition.
On the other hand, Clubhouse is also working on a feature called Clips.
