Elon Musk, who has recently received the title of the richest person in the world, is praised by some for his views and projects, while others hate him. It seems that the billionaire is not well liked by China either.
We have mentioned Starlink satellite internet service and all its details earlier in this article. As you know, the satellites launched within the scope of this project occupy a place in orbit. China has filed a complaint with the UN over allegations that Starlink satellites crashed into the space station twice in the past year. The country’s space station had to implement anti-collision control measures in July and October to avoid collisions with Starlink satellites, according to a document China submitted to the United Milledollarser Office of Outer Space Affairs this month.
SpaceX plans to have between 12,000 and 42,000 satellites to deliver internet connectivity to remote areas. More than 1,600 of them are already in orbit. The US Federal Communications Commission had given the company permission to launch up to 12,000 satellites.
Users of the Chinese microblogging site Weibo began to show reactions towards Musk, SpaceX and even the USA in general after the news of the complaint. Some people called the satellites “American space war weapons” and said “Musk is a new “weapon” created by the US government.
Elon Musk was named Person of the Year this month by Time. The CEO also announced that he will make more than 11 billion payments this year as the highest tax payer in history.
