In the statement made by Google, YouTubers outside the USA were asked to submit their tax information until May 31, 2021.
“If you do not share this information, you can deduct up to 24 percent from your total earnings,” a warning came from Google.
Turkish Youtubers will also be affected by the decision
The USA is one of the markets where YouTube has the largest user base. Many content producers either shoot their videos in English or offer subtitle support.
YouTube’s new decision with many, including those in Turkey, will bid farewell to a part of their income as of June.
YouTube was already deducting ad impressions.
With the new update, creators will lose some of their income from their audience in the US.
