ASUS IoT participated in the Engineering Design Show (EDS) 2021, held at the Coventry Building Society Arena in the United Kingdom. At this event, ASUS IoT introduced its latest AIoT products and solutions, including ASUS IoT Tinker Board series, ASUS IoT Face Recognition Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit, and ASUS IoT automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit.

The Engineering Design Show is the only event in the UK that focuses entirely on engineering, electronics and embedded design. Every year, this event hosts leading companies and experts in the manufacturing and supply chain industries. Participants of the fair share information about technologies for future trends, products and applications in today’s fast-changing environment, learn new things and establish collaborations.

ASUS IoT appeared at EDS 2021 with Solid State Supplies, with which it has entered into a strategic partnership in the UK. Solid State Supplies, which has been a supporter of EDS from the very beginning, featured the ASUS IoT portfolio on its booth this year. Solid State Supplies; a technical distributor of semiconductors, components and modules for areas such as embedded processing, control and communication (wired and wireless), sensing and switch, power management and LED lighting. Focusing only on the products of a limited number of suppliers, this company provides advanced commercial and technical support to its customers with a thorough understanding of the products it offers.

ASUS, which has become a rapidly growing player in artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT), had the opportunity to introduce its comprehensive AIoT hardware and software portfolio at the fair. ASUS also showed live the ASUS IoT Face Recognition Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit and ASUS IoT ALPR Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit, which are ready-to-market innovative solutions.

“EDS is an industry-leading event that attracts engineers from all over the world. AIoT is becoming an important topic reshaping the market. “ASUS is expanding its portfolio from consumer electronics to industrial solutions,” said KuoWei Chao, General Manager of ASUS IoT Business Unit. We are excited to offer our UK customers and partners our comprehensive AIoT solutions that integrate powerful hardware and advanced AI-based analytics software. ”

ASUS IoT and Solid State Supplies introduced the following AIoT solutions at the fair:

ASUS IoT Face Recognition Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit

This solution, which enables identification of important personal signs such as age, gender and head direction in addition to the face, from one place, is a powerful tool that can identify with 154 ms extraction speed and 99.99% accuracy with ASUS IoT Tinker Board 2 and CyberLink’s FaceMe® SDK. creates a package.

ASUS IoT ALPR Edge Computing Artificial Intelligence Development Kit

Powered by ASUS Tinker Board Edge R, this comprehensive automatic license plate recognition solution can identify 99% with 100 ms extraction speed. The solution can also be easily integrated into existing USB or IP cameras. Gathering information from each inference with built-in machine learning technology, the solution continuously improves its detection performance.
