  • 13:52 – Especially for IPS lovers, we have a Nano IPS taken to the extreme.

This new technology has become commonplace over the past year. Player versions of nano IPS panels have the advantages of IPS and change colors much faster. In addition, they can offer much higher color accuracy with the coating that allows them to take the Nano jewelry.

Its working principle is based on the filtering of the light by nano particles applied on the LED backlight that illuminates the IPS panel. Nano particles absorb certain wavelengths of light and thus the desired light tone reaches the panel.

AG273QXP VESA DisplayHDR 400

It is also certified , meaning it is good at managing the amic range between brightness and dark, and is ready for HDR videos, HDR games. At first, we called HDR400 as medium level, but nowadays 1000 Nit and above models are also available, so now the advanced level has been moved higher. HDR 400 should be the entry point for anyone looking for an HDR experience.

FreeSync Premium

The monitor has FreeSync support. Now FreeSync also has levels, FreeSync Premium has LFC, that is, the ability to work well at low frame rates. There’s anti-tearing, vibration reduction, and low latency in SDR mode. However, FreeSync Premium Pro, which is a superior, can offer these not only in SDR but also in HDR mode.

No additional cost is involved in FreeSync monitors, so the technology, which has become very popular for a long time, can also be enabled on NVIDIA display cardollar computers without the need for an AMD graphics card. You can turn on the G-Sync setting on this monitor under the NVIDIA control panel, in general, as far as we have tried, it works successfully to avoid tearing and stuttering problems without this problem.

But what about non-PC users? You can do this if you are going to connect an additional or only Xbox, PlayStation to PC. It is possible to turn it on in games that support 120 Hz refresh. Console compatibility is especially important for PS5, which does not support 1440p output.

If you ask how to connect them all, there are 2x HDMI 2.0, 2x DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3. 2 Gen 1 input and two output ports. You can install a short wired earphone or additional speaker by attaching the earpiece to the monitor with a 3.5 mm diameter.

Dimensions, Handling and Ergonomics

So where should it be used? Whether on a desktop or on a coffee table, 27 inches is an easy size to fit. You can put it in many different places depending on the structure of your home or office. Height and angle settings also help with placement. It lies forward 5 degrees, backward 23 degrees, turns 33 degrees to the right and left. It has 110 mm height adjustment. You can also put it in pivot mode. If you say these are not enough for me, there is 75×75 mm VESA support, you can buy special monitor arms or mount them on the wall.

However, including feet, 562.4mm high, 613.5mm wide, 267.4mm deep; you have to take into account the dimensions 364.3 mm high, 613.5 mm wide and 61.3 mm deep excluding the feet. The net weight of the monitor with its stand is 7.55 kilograms, so it’s not very light. When you lift and put it somewhere, you don’t have much difficulty as it is 27 inches, but you also feel its weight.

With the HDMI, DisplayPort and power cables that come out of the box at the first installation, you can immediately plug and use both the PC and the console without searching for a cable.

3H Anti-Reflective Coating

Of course, the surrounding lights also affect the image where it is placed. This monitor has a 3H anti-reflective coating that refracts ambient light when it falls on the screen. This is not enough for me, if you say that the room where my computer is getting too light, you can use the screen shield that comes out of the box. These are the shades that are mounted above and on both sides of the screen. Do they work? Yes, these accessories, which were used only in professional monitors in the past, now appear on some gaming computers. They improve the quality of vision in bright environments.

An aesthetic element that our eyes are used to in gaming monitors is naturally the case decorations and RGB lighting. Offering Light FX, this model of the AOC AGON monitor also has an RGB light zone on the back, designed to be synchronized with other AOC products. Case and stand look very nice aesthetically. If you are going to make a broadcaster room and one of the camera angles will show the back of the monitor, even partially, this RGB will add a nice atmosphere. No additional adapter crowd as the power supply is inside.

In games, of course, we are locked into the screen, not this RGB. There are 5 different presets sets: FPS, Racing, RTX, Game 1 and Game 2. Each of them changes some of the core values of the image, such as counterdollars. You can also prepare the image you want with special settings via OSD.

In recent years, there is also a black area control option, which is a bit of a cheat feature of player monitors. You can only make shadow and dark areas brighter without making the bright areas in the overall image overly bright. Shadow Control can be useful in challenging games or horror games.

OSD, Usage and Appearance

Speaking of OSD, there is the AOC G-Menu application for those who are too lazy to reach for the settings and adjust the settings. You can install this software on the PC and then change the settings with the mouse. But of course, PC-Monitor USB connection must be made for it to work.

So how is the experience? 596.73×335 at 27 inches. The 66mm field of view is pretty good. Pixel pitch is decent at 0.2331 and sharpness is good at standard sitting distance, with 109 pixels per inch. 3H anti-glare coatings are particularly good at scattering light, but can cause some loss in text pixel sharpness. This is a detail you need to know if you want to buy it as a pure office and business monitor.

Contrast value amic 80 million to 1, static contrast 1000:1. With 400 nits of brightness, it looks much brighter compared to the 300 nits of standard monitors. But the main difference lies in the character of the Nano IPS. This gaming monitor has a very vivid, very bright, bright and spacious image. The light it offers is 178/178 degrees, so you can see the same nedollarsik from every angle. It can offer 8+2 Bit 10 Bit color with FRC. The colors are really beautiful, and perhaps the panel with the most special colors among the general panel types may be Nano IPS. Since this is a matter of user taste, we cannot say that any panel type is the best, but the panels with the strongest technical values in terms of color are among the IPS types.

Result Evaluation

When we look at the color space it offers, we can see it numerically with 98 percent Adobe RGB, 94 percent NTSC, and 133 percent sRGB. It’s a flicker-free, three-sided bezel-less monitor with a low blue light mode and a pleasure to look at.

In conclusion, the most important plus of the AOC AGON AG273QXP monitor is the image quality offered by the Nano IPS panel. A flat screen with high refresh rate, ideal size and resolution is offered for gamers. Input Lag application is successful in games, the controllers respond very well. In addition, its stand ergonomically meets all needs. Software, box contents, user experience, every point has been good.

The version we reviewed was a little tangled and worn out during this time. We also asked for an explanation for the dead pixels in the model from AOC so that we can share it with the users. We will add it to our article when the official announcement comes in the new year, but as we promised, we will publish our video before the end of 2021. For this reason, we will be able to include additional explanation and helpful information in our article, not in the video.

AOC should consider making a Glossy version of this monitor in the AGON series without anti-reflective coating, it will reduce the reflection issue somewhat since the side shades cut the light. Such an alternative monitor will not be suitable for every environment, but it can be a product that highlights the advantages of this panel even more exaggeratedly. Personally, I still prefer the anti-reflective model, because I use it in bright environments, but the monitor market is a market that really takes variety and even demands it.

What would you say to the minus of the model in general, gamer monitors with Nano IPS panels are not cheap in the market or compete in the price/performance category. There is a huge variety of products in the 27 inch and 1440p category. The cost is higher than the models with other panels in the series. However, it pays off in terms of image quality. From this point of view, we can say that with 27 inches and 1440p, it has a correct kidollars sound.

Pros: It is very successful in its category in terms of color and image quality, refresh rate, low motion blur, the stand is solid and different, shade quality and well-designed additional box content, USB hub, adapter is included.

Cons: Although the physical OSD is fast, the software OSD works slowly, could offer higher HDR features, there were dead pixels in the sample we examined, we think it may be caused by damage.
