It has been announced that the security forces of the Revolutionary Guards Army prevented an attempt to hijack a passenger plane belonging to IRAN Air, which made the Ahvaz-Mashhad flight in Iran.
In the statement made by the Revolutionary Guards Army, it was emphasized that there was an attempt to hijack the Fokker 100 type passenger plane numbered 334, departing from Ahvaz Airport to Mashhad at 22.10 yesterday evening.
It was announced that the hijacking attempt was blocked by the Flight Security Units of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Army and the plane landed in Isfahan Airport.

In the statement, which was informed that the hijacker was detained, it was stated that no passengers were harmed and they departed for Mashhad with a different plane.
According to preliminary determinations, it was reported that the hijacker wanted to land the plane in a country on the Persian Gulf, while investigations were under way for the details of the incident.
