Instagram is rearranging its algorithm to prioritize original content first, along with new features.
Instagram is changing its algorithm to start highlighting original content created by creators. Company president Adam Mosseri made the announcement on Twitter, stating that these changes were made because the creators consider it extremely important to the future of Instagram.
Talking about the rank change, Mosseri says it focuses specifically on the idea of originality. “If you build something from scratch, you should get more credit than resharing something you found from someone else. We will do more to try and value original content more, especially compared to re-released content.” He talks about the feature.
In addition, Instagram continues to introduce new features. One of these innovations, the “Product Labels” feature, has been available on Instagram for a while. However, the company will now make the feature available to every user. Users will then have the option to tag a product and drive traffic to the business or creator of the particular product. Mosseri has not yet specified whether users will earn commissions within the aforementioned feature. Another new feature is the improved etikedollarser feature. This feature changes how the regular tags will appear in a post. If users have set a category for themselves in their Instagram bios, the category appears with their username on etikedollarser.
It should be noted that the newly introduced features will be available to all users in a short time.
