YouTuber T Sanglay Jr (iketsj) posted a video showing how he installed Big Sur on a handheld computer on Monday, June 28. Although running macOS with a compact keyboard on a small screen is not very convenient for using Apple’s operating system, we can still say that the process is successful. But it was a device that was not ready for use.
T Sanglay Jr, who constitutes the basic components of the system together with Ardunio Leonardo microdenedollar board, 8 GB RAM and 240 GB SSD (Hackintosh macOS Big Sur is installed in another device and installed here), in addition to this, Intel Core m3 processor and a LattePanda Alpha with a special 3D printed case. SBC, that is, a single cardollar computer, brought together and completed the installation.
When it comes to hackintoshes, it’s usually pretty neat but far from practical. Even Sanglay jokingly admits that this is not the best app for macOS.
Sanglay, “Maybe you will say handheld macOS is impractical. Well, of course you are right. I just want to make one for myself,” he said. He also said it cost him more to do than an M1 Mac Mini, so the final decision on whether or not to do it will still be yours.
