Computer maker Dell has introduced Mobile Connect application and program at CES 2018 to connect your Windows computer, Android and iOS devices.

You can now use Dell’s support to control it without touching your hands. When your computer is doing an important job at the beginning, you can not look at the notifications that come to your phone. It’s easier to control everything on your phone with a single platform, without looking at the screen. Dell has brought Mobile Connect to users, which is compatible with all platforms.

In fact, there is also software that provides similar services on Mac or Windows. However, this software often causes compatibility issues outside Apple and Samsung devices. There was no valid solution for the remaining brands and models.

This simple application, pre-installed on Dell XPS, Inspiron, Alienware and Vostro computers to be launched on the market in 2018, turns your smartphone screen into a window in your PC.

Mobile Connect, which you can easily reach through all the options related to your phone from your laptop, is communicating with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies. So you can read and respond to your messages, make calls, and control all applications from your computer screen. But as expected, the operations to be done with iPhone models are somewhat more limited than with Android. Controlling mobile apps from your computer is only specific to Android. It is even possible to control your phone’s camera with this software.

Immediately below, you see an example of an Android device connected to the Dell XPS 13:

If you are asked to control your computer during phone calls, the sound is played through your computer’s speakers or headphones, via the microphone. On the iPhone, you can answer incoming calls, view messages and reply, but you can not use applications like WhatsApp or Facebook.

Dell needs to wait a bit longer so that Mobile Connect can operate in accordance with iPhone models and control its applications. Mobile Connect, one of the best things we’ve seen in the phone-computer interface up to this time, can be seen as an important step thanks to its cross-platform support.

At the same time, this is an extra option to direct people to Dell-branded computers.
