NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 is currently at the top of the best display cards. If you remember, many RTX 3090 models became unusable in Amazon’s New Wolrd game, and EVGA started a research on this subject.

Amazon Games did not use an FPS limiter in the main menu of the game, which caused the display boards to malfunction and prematurely expire due to high frame rates. It was also said that this problem was also with different RTX 30 series and Radeon GPUs.

Amazon Games added an FPS limiter to New World after these problems, and there has been no negative report since. EVGA, on the other hand, sent new ones to the users for the failed cardollarsars and evaluated the cardollarsars they collected.

Initially, many thought that the fan controller was responsible for the malfunctions. After analyzing 24 GeForce RTX 3090 graphics cards, the hardware manufacturer realized that the main problem was “poor workmanship”. It seems that the soldering and workmanship around the MOSFET circuits on the board is very important.

EVGA says that only some RTX 3090 cards, which were part of initial production in 2020, were affected by the soldering issue. The exact figures were not released by the company, but it was stated that the affected batch accounted for less than 1% of all cards sold.
